AI interview copilot
The AI interview copilot built for technical interviews
Interview Solver reads the question on your screen or listens to the interviewer, then answers in a window that stays out of your screen share. It handles coding problems, system design and behavioral questions in one desktop app for macOS and Windows.
What an AI interview copilot does
An AI interview copilot runs alongside a live interview. Instead of practicing beforehand, you get help in the moment: the copilot takes the question as it is asked and returns an approach, an answer, or code you can talk through.
Most copilots started as general meeting assistants and added interview features later. Interview Solver was built for software engineering interviews first, so its answers come with code, time and space complexity, and system design diagrams rather than only talking points.
You choose how to bring a question in: a screenshot of the problem, live transcription of the interviewer, or a typed prompt. Answers appear in an overlay you can move, resize and make transparent, or on a second device through Companion mode.
How it works in a live interview
Step 1
Install the desktop app
Download Interview Solver for macOS or Windows, sign in, and set your global hotkeys. You can upload your resume and the job description so answers draw on your own background.
Step 2
Join the call as usual
Use Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or a browser-based coding pad. The overlay is excluded from screen capture, so the interviewer sees your editor, not the copilot.
Step 3
Capture the question
Press a hotkey to screenshot the problem, or turn on audio so the copilot transcribes the interviewer. The answer streams in within seconds.
Step 4
Talk through the answer
Read the approach, complexity and code, then explain it in your own words. Follow-up questions keep the same context.
What you get
Hidden from screen sharing
The overlay is excluded from screen capture on Zoom (6.16 and earlier with full invisibility), Teams, Meet and browser-based platforms, and does not need a browser extension.
Coding answers with complexity
Solutions come with syntax highlighting, the reasoning behind the approach, and time and space complexity.
System design diagrams
Design questions get a structured answer and a flowchart of the architecture, not just a list of components.
Live audio transcription
Turn on audio input and the copilot listens to the interviewer, so spoken questions get answered without a screenshot.
Companion mode
Mirror answers to your phone or tablet and trigger screenshots, voice and prompts from there, so tracked hotkeys never touch the interview machine.
Your resume and the job description
Upload documents once and behavioral answers draw on your real projects instead of generic examples.

AI Interview Copilot FAQ
What is an AI interview copilot?+
An AI interview copilot is software that helps during a live interview rather than before it. It takes the question from your screen or from the interviewer’s audio and returns an answer you can use in the conversation. Interview Solver focuses on technical interviews: coding, system design and behavioral rounds for engineering roles.
Can the interviewer see the copilot when I share my screen?+
The Interview Solver overlay is excluded from screen capture, so it does not appear in a shared screen or a recording on Zoom (6.16 and earlier with full invisibility), Teams, Meet or browser-based platforms. Companion mode moves answers to a second device entirely if you prefer.
How much does it cost?+
Monthly is $59/mo and Interview Cycle is $149 for three months. The desktop app includes 10 free messages, and Interview Solver Mobile has a one-time trial of 10 minutes and 10 answers, with no credit card required.
How is this different from ChatGPT?+
ChatGPT runs in a browser tab that shows up when you share your screen, and you have to retype or paste each question. Interview Solver captures the question with a hotkey or from audio, answers in an overlay that stays out of the share, and formats answers for interviews with code, complexity and diagrams.
Which AI interview copilot is best for software engineers?+
For engineering interviews, look for coding answers with complexity, system design support, a desktop app that stays out of screen sharing, and a way to work when hotkeys are logged. Interview Solver covers all four. Our comparison pages walk through Final Round AI, LockedIn AI, Interview Coder, Cluely and others side by side.
